Extending June 2020 biannual Building Code consultation

MBIE understands that due to the current COVID-19 situation and changing organisational and personal priorities, there may be difficulty in meeting the consultation deadline of Friday 27th March 2020.

To be sure that those who want to participate in the consultation process can, MBIE will be extending the consultation period by 3 weeks. The closing date will now be 4pm Friday 17 April 2020.

MBIE will continue to monitor the situation, and consider the impacts of COVID-19 on the remainder of the June 2020 update cycle – including delivery of the update and the sector's ability to respond to the changes.

Once again, the new deadline for consultation is 4pm Friday 17 April 2020.
