New Zealand Claims Resolution Service

Last updated: 20 February 2023

Dealing with the aftermath of a natural disaster can be extremely stressful for homeowners and it is important that you have access to the independent support that you need.

The New Zealand Claims Resolution Service (NZCRS) is a free service that provides residential homeowners with advice and case management support, where appropriate. It also provides access to legal, technical and wellbeing services so you achieve timely, fair, and enduring resolution of your residential insurance claims resulting from natural disasters.

As a homeowner, you should talk to your insurer in the first instance and contact NZCRS if you have concerns about your claim or are unsure about the process.

Find out more information about NZCRS or discuss your claim with NZCRS.
