C/VM1 & C/AS1, amendment 3

Acceptable Solutions and Verification Methods (AS and VMs) were called compliance documents. Some still have the “compliance document” title but the AS or VMs they contain are valid and unaffected by the name change.

Overview

Verification Method C/VM1 for Solid Fuel Appliances and Acceptable Solution C/AS1 for Buildings with sleeping (residential) and outbuildings (Risk Group SH) for compliance with Building Code Clauses C1 to C6 Protection from Fire.

Scope of Acceptable Solution C/AS1 includes buildings such as single household units, certain multi-unit dwellings and detached dwellings, garages that are part of a household unit or shared by more than one household unit.
