Rollout of new branding for MultiProof

From 28 April 2023, new branding is being rolled out for the MultiProof scheme.

As a result, MBIE has made small changes to how MultiProof certificates look. The key change is that the document that will be issued will be called an 'approval' rather than a 'certificate' The purpose of this change is to better align with the wording of the legislation that allows MBIE to issue MultiProof approvals.

This will not change how Multiproof is used by building consent authorities. By calling the document an 'approval,' it provides much needed clarity to users, including building consent authorities, on the difference between MultiProof approval and a CodeMark or BuiltReady certificate.

The brand and imagery requirements will be made public and published before the transition period begins on 28 April 2023 to allow scheme participants time to prepare for the new requirements. MBIE will also produce some guidance on the transition arrangements and the new brand imagery.
