Acceptable Solutions and Verification Methods (AS and VMs) were called compliance documents. Some still have the “compliance document” title but the AS or VMs they contain are valid and unaffected by the name change.

All of the Acceptable Solutions and Verification Methods relating to G4 are contained in one document.

  • G4/VM1 Provides calculations for ventilation rates and air purity.
  • G4/AS1 gives design solutions for different occupancies and combinations of natural and mechanical ventilation. It includes kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, and laundries, both with and without an external wall. It provides one means of complying for the ventilation of spaces containing gas-fuel appliances.
