3rd edition, amendment 9

Effective on 14 February 2014 until 30 May 2017

Acceptable Solutions and Verification Methods (AS and VMs) were called compliance documents. Some still have the “compliance document” title but the AS or VMs they contain are valid and unaffected by the name change.

All of the Acceptable Solutions and Verification Methods relating to G12 are contained in one document.

  • G12/VM1 provides a Verification Method for the design of water supply systems.
  • G12/AS1 applies to below and above ground piped water supply systems. It details cross connection hazards, backflow prevention, air gap separation, water tanks, flow rates and equipotential/earth bonding.  It includes hot water supply systems, climates subject to freezing and seismic restraint.
  • G12/AS2 applies to solar water heaters installed in or on buildings.
