Acceptable Solutions and Verification Methods (AS and VMs) were called compliance documents. Some still have the “compliance document” title but the AS or VMs they contain are valid and unaffected by the name change.

All of the Acceptable Solutions and Verification Methods relating to F3 are contained in one document.

F3/VM1 references legislation such as Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, Regulations, ‘Gazette’ notices and Group Standards issued under that Act applicable to the construction of buildings.  It contains comment on means of egress in Building Code Clauses C1 to C6 Protection from fire.
