This clause safeguards against illness or injury due to fire occurring by setting requirements about the way controlled combustion and other fixed fire equipment is designed, constructed and installed in buildings.
It sets a maximum surface temperature for nearby combustible building materials and sets requirements to ensure a low probability of explosive or hazardous conditions due to installation.
