Acceptable Solutions and Verification Methods (AS and VMs) were called compliance documents. Some still have the “compliance document” title but the AS or VMs they contain are valid and unaffected by the name change.

Overview

Acceptable Solution for Buildings with sleeping (non-institutional) (Risk Group SM) for compliance with Building Code Clauses C1-C6 Protection from fire.

Scope of Acceptable Solution C/AS2 includes buildings where people sleep of less than 20 storeys high, such as certain apartment buildings, multi-unit dwellings, hotels and accommodation within Risk Group SM.
