Posted: 4 February 2015

BC Update
An online tool, Getting to grips with the Residential Guidance, released to support people new to the Canterbury rebuild. It is to be used alongside technical guidance documents on repairing and rebuilding in Canterbury.

This Building Controls Update is a periodic news bulletin for the building sector.

An online tool that supports our technical guidance document on repairing and rebuilding houses affected by the Canterbury earthquakes has been released.

Titled Getting to grips with the Residential Guidance, the tool adds to our ongoing education programme on the Guidance and is particularly suited to people new to the Canterbury Rebuild who may be unfamiliar with the Guidance and the ongoing updates. It also supports future building work in Canterbury.

Use the Getting to grips online tool

Getting to grips with the Residential Guidance is for people and organisations involved in the Canterbury Rebuild, including engineers, architects, designers, building consent authorities and project management offices.

It does not replace the guidance Repairing and rebuilding houses affected by the Canterbury earthquakes document but should be used in conjunction with it.
